We are collaborating with companies in Wyoming seeking experienced Embedded Systems Engineers., * Design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware for manufacturing equipment and control systems.
- Integrate embedded systems with industrial automation platforms (PLCs, SCADA) and factory floor machinery.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues on production lines to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement sensor interfaces and control algorithms for process monitoring, data acquisition, and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA) for seamless data exchange.
- Collaborate with production, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to define system requirements and deployment strategies.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals for embedded systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
- Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Demonstrated ability in hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing embedded systems on physical prototypes.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT) and sensor integration.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers (JTAG/SWD).
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles., * Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, PROFINET, EtherCAT)
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or SCADA systems
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849)
- Experience integrating embedded systems with manufacturing test equipment or automation, Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer, IoT Engineer, Real-Time Embedded Engineer, Microcontroller Engineer, Embedded Hardware Engineer, Device Engineer
