Job description
- Serve as the local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for operating and maintaining the Minotaur Aviation Mission System (MAMS).
- Demonstrate substantial experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Server 2012, and Server 2016).
- Be familiar with Linux/RHEL operating systems.
- Have knowledge of virtual machines.
- Experienced in 1553 data-bus architecture, USB connections, SCSI interfaces, Ethernet and serial communication protocols.
- Provide engineering investigation, test, development and integration support the MSSL as part of the C4IT lifecycle management team related to the mitigation team for Diminishing Manufacturing Source (DMS) conditions.
- Be proficient in software management, maintaining, re-imaging system hard drives via the software Re-Imaging Station.
- Perform day-to-day organizational level maintenance of all Mission System hardware and software systems.
- Re-Image/Recover system software baseline
- Interpret system diagrams, wiring schematics and drawings.
- Support system upgrades and engineering change development as required.
- Provide input into the development of technical documentation and maintenance procedure cards.
- Provide technical expertise to the USCG Mission System Sustainment Lab (MSSL) system engineering and development staff on interface and integration requirements.
- Troubleshoot and correct component and network related failures and discrepancies.
- Provide "over-the-shoulder" training to unit personnel as required.
- Provide alignment between unit level activities and MSSL projects and programs..
- Display Strong communication skills and the ability to work in pressure situations and under time constraints.
- Be responsible for USCG CGOne computer asset reimaging.
Requirements
- Secret Clearance.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in engineering, developing or supporting information technology systems, networks, and programs.
- Background in network administration and computer systems management.
- Ability to meet DoD 8570 requirements related to IAT Level II requirements (GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security) at the time of hire.
