SQL Database Administrator, Senior

Kaimetrix is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to support enterprise database operations in a secure government environment. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases in production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and data integrity for mission-critical systems., The Senior SQL Database Administrator provides technical leadership, applies industry best practices, and mentors junior personnel while supporting database modernization, security compliance, and operational reliability., * Install, configure, and support Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group configurations

• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, triggers, and views to automate database maintenance and operations
• Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement tuning and optimization recommendations
• Plan, implement, and enforce database security measures to safeguard data against unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure in accordance with industry best practices and DISA STIGs
• Lead and participate in technical teams, working both independently and collaboratively
• Assign and review tasks, set priorities, track progress, and validate work products to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deadlines
• Mentor junior personnel on proper database administration practices and procedures
• Support documentation, configuration standards, and operational processes related to database services, * Five (5) years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group configurations, * Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or SQL Server 2016 / SQL Database Administration certification

Do you have experience in Team management?, * Eight (8) years of experience in SQL database administration supporting and managing databases in a production environment, * Five (5) years of experience using T-SQL, including writing scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views

• Three (3) years of experience serving as a team leader, working independently and as part of a team to assign and review tasks, set priorities, and maintain task progress
• Three (3) years of experience mentoring junior personnel on proper practices and procedures
• Three (3) years of experience planning and implementing database security measures in accordance with industry best practices and DISA STIGs, * DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification
