Job description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise AI Team Manager to lead a growing team with 5 specialized professionals (business analyst/product owner, 2 application developers, 1 data scientist, and 1 system administrator) responsible for developing and managing enterprise AI capabilities within our FFRDC environment for now. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership experience and expertise in technologies such as Cloud LLM platforms (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock), prompt engineering, agentic AI systems, MCP servers, vector databases, data pipelines, and RAG architectures. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling our internal AI tools - including a custom prompt engineering configuration platform (like ChatGPT) and a LLM Gateway - while fostering responsible AI adoption across the enterprise and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role, with at least 2-3 years focused on AI/ML systems, LLM applications, or related technologies., o Strong experience with AI cloud platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar) o Hands-on experience with prompt engineering techniques and frameworks o Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar o Experience with vector databases and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures o Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent systems o Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) technology o Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and API gateway patterns o Experience with Python and modern application development practices o Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and their AI/ML services o Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization

Benefits & conditions

Hiring Range: $123,400 - $166,600
