If you're ready to work on-site in a dynamic, global company, we'd love to hear from you., The AVP of IT Project Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide technology initiatives. This individual will lead the IT Project Management Office (PMO), manage a team of project and program managers, and partner cross-functionally to ensure that projects align with organizational goals, are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the IT PMO and oversee a portfolio of complex, high-impact projects across the enterprise, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, integrations, and system enhancements.
- Define and enforce project management standards, best practices, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) aligned with organizational maturity and objectives.
- Partner with business leaders, IT leadership, and vendors to prioritize initiatives, manage resource capacity, and ensure alignment with business strategy.
- Establish and maintain project governance processes, including regular project reviews, risk mitigation strategies, and executive-level reporting.
- Track KPIs, manage financials, and provide transparency to executive leadership on project health, dependencies, and return on investment (ROI).
- Coach, mentor, and develop project managers and scrum masters, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support organizational change management and communication strategies to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver enterprise-scale initiatives with competing priorities.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification required; Agile certification (SAFe, CSM, etc.) a strong plus.

10+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive leadership role within a complex enterprise environment

Experience in the PEO, HCM, payroll, benefits, or HR technology space strongly preferred.

Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar).

Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets.
