Job description
- Manage and maintain critical IT and OT systems, including SCADA, MES, ERP, and factory floor infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, VPN) across manufacturing sites to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures for both IT and operational technology (OT) environments, protecting production data and intellectual property.
- Provide timely technical support and issue resolution for hardware, software, and network problems affecting manufacturing operations, minimizing downtime.
- Develop, implement, and regularly test data backup and disaster recovery plans for essential manufacturing systems.
- Administer server infrastructure (physical and virtual), storage solutions, and cloud services supporting manufacturing applications.
- Collaborate with production teams and external vendors to evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies and system upgrades that enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience managing Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in network administration, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs, with an understanding of industrial network segmentation.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for critical manufacturing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, vulnerability management, and supporting infrastructure in an Operational Technology (OT) context.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) or MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
- Experience supporting shop floor technologies such as barcode scanners, label printers, or specialized production hardware.
