Senior Java Software Engineer

Summary: Looking for a Senior Developer to join us for a contract role. We are working with a leading regulatory authority, with multi-tier applications on the cloud (AWS). The Developer will be working with the Identity Platform (FIP) team to enhance enterprise level platforms. Successful candidates will be strong software developers with high-level knowledge Java fundamentals, SQL, Spring/Springboot, and AWS. Responsibilities:

• Work with product owners and architects to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
• Develop solutions that are highly available, durable, scalable, and cost efficient.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline with at least 12 years' experience in Java.

• Significant experience with o JAVA core fundamentals o SQL o Spring/Springboot o SOAP and REST

• Experience with AWS is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems. Tools and Technologies:

• Java & J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API,

• SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL(Aurora)

• Amazon Web Services Highly Preferred Tools and Technologies:

• DevOps skills (i.e. Docker, Jenkins Jobs, Continuous Integration exp., etc.)

• Linux
