Job description
DEKA Research & Development is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team working on cutting-edge medical devices. You will have the opportunity to work on every layer of software, from embedded system device drivers and control loops up to cloud connectivity and UI development. You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team, working alongside electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineers to create a product that will improve outcomes and quality of life for millions of people worldwide. This is an on-site role; remote and hybrid are not available.

- Implement and verify operation of embedded software

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Python and C/C++ (or other Object-Oriented languages)
- Experience designing and implementing software/hardware systems is beneficial (but not required)
- RTOS and embedded systems development is beneficial (but not required)(examples include Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Micro C, embedded Linux)
- Experience developing and verifying software test procedures to meet software requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt rapidly to changing circumstances and technology
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Controls engineering experience is beneficial (but not required)
