Job description

Lead the design and development of fluid control components using CAD tools, producing detailed drawings, models, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Partner with Sales and Engineering leadership to develop technical specifications and support customer RFQs.

Review customer requirements and translate specifications, sketches, and layouts into manufacturable designs.

Perform engineering calculations including stress, strain, thermal, and fluid analysis.

Conduct basic to intermediate FEA and CFD analyses to validate designs.

Support prototype development, testing, and design validation in a lab environment.

Identify and resolve design or production issues; drive continuous improvement in cost, performance, and manufacturability.

Review and check work completed by Designers; provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Generate and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, assembly instructions, and reports.

Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure on-time, high-quality product delivery.

Participate in material review board (MRB) activities and review non-conformance reports.

Support training efforts for Designers, Engineers, Sales, and customers as needed.

Track project progress and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably with valves, fluid control components, or similar mechanical systems.

Strong experience with engineering calculations and analysis. * SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modeling experience.

MathCAD or equivalent engineering software.

Exposure to CFD, LabVIEW, or test instrumentation.

Experience with seal design, valve design, or solenoid actuators.

Familiarity with qualification testing, contamination control, and industry standards.

Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing or lab testing environments.
