Job description

The Executive Consulting Enterprise IT Transformation Architect is Capgemini's senior pre-sales advisor to Fortune 500 CxOs, responsible for shaping enterprise-wide transformation across technology, operations, and financial dimensions. The role integrates executive advisory, commercial negotiation, and enterprise-scale technical leadership, ensuring transformation recommendations reflect both technical rigor and commercial realism.

As a highly credible senior technology leader, the Architect brings deep technical authority across Cyber, ESM, Workplace, Cloud/Hybrid, hyperscaler hosting, data centers, end-user computing, and enterprise IT operations. The Architect builds trust rapidly with sophisticated technology executives by demonstrating mastery across these domains and by translating complexity into clear, outcome-driven strategy. Acting as both a strategist and design authority, the Architect guides tower architects, validates architectural direction, and ensures alignment to industry frameworks, enterprise architecture principles, and client requirements.

The Architect must also influence high-stakes C-Suite decisions involving strategy, commercial models, operating-model design, and investment boundaries. As the executive "face of the pursuit," the Architect ensures all transformation recommendations and business cases reinforce measurable value, technical feasibility, and industry-specific relevance.

Your Responsibilities

  1. C-Suite Advisory & Executive Engagement

Advise CIOs/CTOs/CFOs using broad expertise across infrastructure, cloud, applications, data, security, and operations.

  1. Pursuit Leadership & Strategic Deal Shaping

  1. Oversight of Technical Solutioning (Design Authority Role)

  1. Transformation Strategy & Outcome Definition

Define enterprise transformation strategy using depth across infrastructure, cloud, network, security, EUC, and operations.

  1. Business Case Leadership & Value Storytelling

Lead development of executive-ready transformation value narratives tied to measurable business impact.

  1. Internal Advisory to Sales & Market Unit Leadership

Advise Sales and MU leaders on pursuit strategy, differentiation, and C-Suite engagement.

Align architecture with pricing strategy, SLAs, risk allocation, and contractual guardrails.

  1. Additional Internal Collaboration

Partner with Delivery, Consulting, Risk, and Finance to ensure operational and commercial feasibility.

Requirements

  • 15+ years advising C-Suite leaders on enterprise transformation.

  • Prior experience architecting or operating large-scale enterprise IT environments.

  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and strategic-storytelling capability.

  • Technical breadth across Cyber, ESM, Workplace, Cloud/Hybrid, hyperscaler hosting, and operations.

  • Proven ability to validate multi-tower architectural feasibility and integrity.

  • Ability to align transformation strategy with both technical and commercial constraints.

  • Preferred

  • Former CTO, CIO, Chief Architect, or technology strategy leader.

  • Experience leading large multi-tower IT operations as or accountable for large transformation programs.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, IAF).

  • Industry specialization aligned to the assigned Market Unit.

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to enterprise IT.

Leadership Competencies

  • Board-level presence and persuasive communication.

  • Ability to lead and align diverse senior technical and commercial teams.

  • Expertise influencing C-Suite executives across strategy, commercial, and operating-model domains.

  • High emotional intelligence and executive judgment.

Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with highly sophisticated technology executives, simplifying complexity into compelling strategic narratives.
