Job description
As an Enterprise Storage Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting mission-critical infrastructure for federal government customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, security, and scalability of enterprise data platforms that directly enable operational readiness and mission success.
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise storage solutions across SAN and NAS environments, with a focus on NetApp ONTAP systems Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated, secure, and compliant storage solutions supporting mission systems Drive modernization, performance optimization, and rapid resolution of complex storage challenges, including incident response, root cause analysis, and lifecycle management Utilize NetApp ONTAP, SAN/NAS technologies, NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SnapMirror/SnapVault, and automation tools to support high-performing and resilient storage environments
Requirements
Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Windows, Security Policies, System Administration, Technical Support, 10 + years of related experience, Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience: 8+ years of related experience, with 5+ years focused on NetApp ONTAP environments Technical skills: NetApp storage administration, SAN/NAS architecture, data replication, performance tuning, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, data protection, capacity planning, and familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud storage integrations Certifications: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent (preferred) Security clearance level: TS/SCI ship required Role requirements: Ability to work onsite, lead storage architecture initiatives, support ATO and compliance activities (POA&M, audits), perform lifecycle management (patching/upgrades), ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness, and mentor junior engineers.

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
