Position: Information Systems Specialist Status: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains the hospital network and is responsible for the documentation for all PC related operations, PC hardware, and software. Provides assistance with hospital telecommunication. Develop policies and procedures for PC systems.Assists in the development of databases and programs for different departments and keeps written documentation of such programs. Review and coordinates PC computer upgrades for the hospital.Assist in the coordination of strategic systems plans for the hospital.Responsible to coordinate the implementation of new systems. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is desirable
• Preferred Novell CNA and CNE Certification
• MCSE is a plus

Two to five years of experience in Novell Network. Must have a strong understanding of telecommunication system. Excellent organizational, problem solving and planning skills are necessary. Ability to organize. Good relationship with departments to support their issues on PC's. Strong knowledge of network as of new installs, upgrades, changes in locations, installation of cables and terminations and what type of cables are required. JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:Must have a strong understanding of the healthcare field and be able to assist in the development of Information Systems strategic plans. Strong understanding of Network and PC's.
