Job description
Seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA 3) to manage and optimize enterprise SQL environments. This role focuses on database performance, scalability, and reliability across on-prem and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including VM-based deployments

Provide DBA support for distributed, multi-datacenter environments

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements

Perform:

Database installation, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
-
Clustering, replication, log shipping, and high availability setups
-
Configure SQL services (security, JDBC, clusters) and optimize performance
-
Collaborate with:
-
Application teams
-
Network, IIS, and storage teams
-
Support DevOps tools such as:
-
Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, Nginx
-
Provide Tier III production support and lead incident resolution
-
Develop technical documentation, project plans, and best practices

Ensure database security, patching, and compliance standards
-
Lead database architecture planning, capacity management, and optimization

Requirements

6+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
-
Strong experience with:
-
SQL Server administration (on-prem & cloud)
-
Distributed and multi-datacenter environments
-
Database performance tuning and troubleshooting

Experience with:

SQL Server clustering, replication, log shipping
-
Database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
-
DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, Nginx)

Experience collaborating across teams and managing enterprise environments
Preferred Skills

Azure Cloud and Oracle database environments
