Job description

  • Designing and implementing embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging hardware and software issues on production lines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements for new products.
  • Developing and maintaining firmware for industrial control systems.
  • Performing hardware and software integration testing for new and existing systems.
  • Optimizing embedded system performance and reliability in a manufacturing environment.
  • Providing technical support and training to manufacturing personnel., Firmware Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Hardware Engineer, IoT Engineer, Real-time Embedded Systems Engineer, DSP Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Embedded Hardware Engineer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT).
  • Experience with embedded Linux and/or other industrial control systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) for connected factory environments.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
  • Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) in a manufacturing context.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems in industrial settings.
