Job description
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts and iterate based on feedback
- Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent with established brand and design standards
- Ensure designs are responsive and accessible across a variety of devices and platforms
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, analysts, quality assurance testers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with user needs and business goals
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide input on design-related decisions
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement
- Analyze test results and refine designs based on user feedback
- Contribute to and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to promote consistency across products
- Stay current with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies and seek opportunities to improve user experience and design processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of related professional experience, or Associate degree and 6 years of related professional experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related professional experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a technology product environment
- Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Excellent visual design skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile technology team and take ownership of tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience contributing to design systems, style guides, or pattern libraries
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Experience creating responsive and accessible user interfaces across multiple devices
