Job description

The Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Clerk supports plant food safety and quality systems through accurate documentation, data entry, record maintenance, and administrative support. This role assists with compliance to USDA, FDA, HACCP, SSOP, and Tyson Foods policies by ensuring food safety and quality data is complete, organized, and audit-ready. The FSQA Clerk works cross-functionally with production, quality, and management teams and supports continuous improvement initiatives., * Enter and compile daily FSQA audit data and summaries for review

  • Maintain daily audit packets and organize documentation for both shifts
  • Track HACCP and SSOP monitoring records and deficiencies
  • Maintain foreign object tracking and verification logs
  • Enter claims and corrective action data into Quality Action Report systems and Plant View for trending and analysis
  • Review Plant View entries for data completeness, calibration verification, monitoring checks, observations, and pre-shipment documentation
  • Maintain records retention and document destruction logs in accordance with Tyson Foods policy
  • Enter and summarize meeting minutes and FSQA communications
  • Distribute mail and route documentation to appropriate departments
  • Answer phones, take messages, and support department communication
  • Assist with special FSQA projects and audits as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary coursework in office administration, food science, or related field preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or clerical experience
  • FSQA, food manufacturing, USDA, or FDA-regulated environment experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, and food safety documentation preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
