IT Project Manager

Volt, is immediately hiring for IT Project Manager in Newport News, VA As an IT Project Manager, you will:

• Be ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects and managing the scope of the projects.
• Be resolving any issue that may hinder project success.
• Be executing/implementing the appropriate communications plan.
• Be ensuring that the appropriate processes and methodologies are adhered to.
• Be managing appropriate levels of risk and budget reporting and tracking.
• Be assisting project managers and senior project managers in collective project tracking.
• Be leading and managing enterprise IT security and compliance projects, including multi phase, multi year initiatives.
• Be taking ownership of an in flight project, ensuring scope, schedule, milestones, risks, and action items are actively managed.
• Be tracking deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issues; proactively escalate concerns to project owners and stakeholders.
• Be driving accountability across matrixed and shared resource teams without direct people management authority.
• Be preparing and distribute clear agendas, meeting notes, and status updates with strong attention to timing and detail.
• Be ensuring project execution aligns with PMO governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
• Be serving as a bridge between business and IT, helping translate objectives, risks, and impacts as needed.

• 5-7+ years of dedicated project management experience.
• PMP certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, high impact, enterprise initiatives.
• Experience operating within regulated or compliance driven environments.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree.
• 1-2 years of experience in Smartsheet.
• Experience on supply chain background.
• Exposure to multiple functional areas.
