Job description
In this role, you'll be responsible for the hands-on design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the CMS platform and associated web applications. This role involves both frontend and backend development, translating product requirements and design specifications into clean, secure, and high-performance code. The Developer will work as part of a collaborative team, partnering with the Product Manager to understand feature requirements and with the User Researcher and designers to implement user-friendly and accessible interfaces. Key activities include customizing CMS functionality, building integrations with other state systems, writing and executing unit tests, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the platform.
What You'll Do
- Be a key contributor in the creation of Drupal sites that are fully compliant with standards for design, accessibility, security, and performance
- Write automated tests that support the delivery of quality software
- Contribute to the client, ICF, and Drupal engineering communities
- Work directly with stakeholders and team members to set and manage expectations throughout the life of the project

Requirements
- 3+ years building secure, accessible, and responsive Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, and migrations
- Must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years building secure, accessible, and responsive Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, and migrations
- Basic command of Drush and Composer
- A solid understanding of the fundamental technologies of the web: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
- A general understanding of containerization
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the willingness to use them
- A strong sense of ownership and engagement
Nice to Have
- Familiarity working in and with Cloud technologies like AWS, Pantheon, or Acquia
- Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, and CakePHP
