Job description
Join Lumen's Enterprise User Experience Design & Research Team as a Senior UI Designer, where your expertise in creating functional, scalable, and visually appealing UI components will be invaluable. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure that UX deliverables, such as wireframes, adhere to Lumen Enterprise's style guidelines. Your contributions will be key to delivering cohesive and visually pleasing experiences that cater to the needs of all our enterprise users., * Design and develop UI components that are both functional and scalable, ensuring consistency across Lumen's enterprise products.
- Transform low to medium fidelity wireframes into designs that comply with Lumen Enterprise's style guidelines.
- Prioritize accessibility in your designs, making sure they are usable by a wide range of users, including those with disabilities.
- Document design guidelines, components, and interactions to serve as a detailed reference for the team.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to grasp detailed requirements and work with developers to hand over design specifications.
- Present and defend your designs to peers and stakeholders, explaining the rationale behind your choices and their impact on user experience and accessibility.
- Keep abreast of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies, especially those related to accessibility standards and best practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience applying user-centered design techniques and methodologies.
- A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- A portfolio or case study showcasing your expertise in visual design, design systems, and component libraries.
- Proficiency in design tools such as UXPin, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD, and Miro.
- A strong set of visual design skills, a deep understanding of atomic design, and a grasp of UX design principles.
- An appreciation for the principle that "perfect is the enemy of good."
- A solid understanding of inclusive design/accessibility best practices, mobile, and responsive web design.
- The ability to prepare stakeholders before reviewing deliverables.
- The capability to quickly diverge and converge on ideas effectively.
- A habit of sharing work early and often, and actively seeking constructive feedback from your manager, team, stakeholders, and other designers.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$88,860 - $118,480 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$93,092 - $124,122 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
