Azure Data Platform Engineer

This pivotal role is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and monitoring Azure Data Landing Zone resources to ensure optimal performance and reliability across the organization. The engineer will safeguard the stability of the enterprise analytics platform, enabling seamless analytics workflows and data-driven decision-making. This position ensures compliance, minimizes operational risk, and supports the delivery of reliable enterprise insights that drive organizational success., * Automates the creation and maintenance of data platforms

• Provides primary support for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining data platform environments
• Implement solutions to optimize system stability, resilience, and security
• Collaborates with data engineers, data product teams, and vendors to report and resolve problems
• Ensures compliance with all security standards in collaboration with IS&T Security Management
• Debugs problematic issues, provides analysis for future enhancements and development, and proactively maintains effective and efficient systems
• Forecasts and analyzes future capacity needs and develops tools and utilities to mitigate future capacity issues

• 2+ years' hands-on experience with DevOps
• 2+ years' hands-on experience deploying services and Infrastructure in the Azure public cloud
• 2+ years' hands-on experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform
• 2+ years' experience with Ansible
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions
• Strong knowledge of data platforms
• Experience performing and documenting in-depth analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Expertise in technical documentation writing and interpreting business documentation
• Strong understanding of the LAN and WAN networks
• Experience with disaster recovery planning
• Flexible to work outside standard business hours, including weekends, with participation in an on-call rotation
• Strong Microsoft tools skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
