Job description
We are partnering with a leading automation machinery manufacturing company seeking an experienced SAP MM/PP Functional Lead to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a strong SAP Supply Chain leader with deep expertise in Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) within a discrete manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in shaping the ERP roadmap, driving process standardization, and delivering scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions that support complex manufacturing models including Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO). Key Responsibilities Serve as the Functional Lead for SAP PP/MM, driving solution design and process standardization Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and technical teams to define scope and roadmap Lead Agile (SAFe) delivery teams through sprint planning, backlog management, and release execution Oversee end-to-end development, testing, and validation for complex manufacturing scenarios Ensure integration across Finance, Sales, Logistics, Project Systems (ETO/CTO), Supply Chain, and third-party systems Support procurement, production planning, shop floor, and supply chain processes Drive risk mitigation, manage cutover planning, and support change management initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of SAP PP/MM experience in discrete manufacturing environments At least one full end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation Strong experience supporting ETO, CTO, MTO, and/or MTS manufacturing models Hands-on configuration experience in SAP PP and MM Experience integrating SAP with Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Project Systems Knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration (VC), including classes, characteristics, dependencies, and super BOMs/Routings Experience with integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, CPI, MuleSoft Strong understanding of shop floor operations and manufacturing execution systems (MES) Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe experience preferred) U.S. work authorization required (no current or future sponsorship available) Preferred Experience Exposure to procurement tools such as Ariba or Coupa Experience in automation machinery, capital equipment, or complex manufacturing environments Leadership experience in enterprise ERP transformation programs
