IT Systems Administrator - Portage Area job in Portage

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Administer and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Implement and monitor data backup and recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the manufacturing facility.
• Manage and maintain Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
• Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems through regular patching, vulnerability assessments, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand their IT needs and support operational technology (OT) systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven expertise in managing and maintaining Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
• Certifications in relevant industrial automation or control systems.
