The Enterprise Solutions Office (ESO), Bureau of Application Management Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Developer to design, build, and enhance critical applications that support agency operations across the enterprise. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES As a Senior Applications Developer, you will design, develop, and implement new applications based on business requirements, using the technologies best suited for each project. You will also maintain and enhance existing applications, determining when full redevelopment is necessary to meet technical or business objectives. Collaboration with database administrators is essential to create, install, update, and manage databases that support application functionality. Key responsibilities include: Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisionsTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standardsOptimize application performance and troubleshoot production issuesCollaborate with business analysts, project managers, QA teams, and stakeholdersMentor junior and mid-level developersParticipate in DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationContribute to technical documentation and system design artifactsInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
