Backend Engineer

This is a senior backend role focused on designing and scaling the core infrastructure behind an AI-driven platform. You'll work across data pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems that power real-time intelligence and decision-making at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

• Architect and build backend services using Go and/or Python
• Design and scale data ingestion and processing pipelines handling large, complex datasets
• Develop APIs that support real-time, high-throughput applications
• Partner closely with ML/AI teams to bring models into production systems
• Own system reliability, performance, and scalability (observability, fault tolerance, etc.)
• Drive key architectural decisions and contribute to long-term platform design
• Mentor engineers and help define backend best practices

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems at scale
• Strong experience with Go and/or Python
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Kubernetes / containerized environments
• Strong system design skills - ability to balance performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time data processing or streaming systems
• Exposure to vector or graph databases
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts (RAG, NLP, forecasting, etc.)
• Experience integrating ML models into production workflows
