Junior Data Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

• The Junior Data Engineer is responsible for supporting data operations, maintaining data pipelines, and ensuring the reliability of data systems.
• This role involves incident investigation, data validation, and assisting in the execution of data processing tasks while collaborating with engineering teams to maintain system performance., * Triage and investigate data-related incidents and identify root causes.
• Support resolution of production defects and perform system maintenance.
• Execute and validate routine data loads and ensure successful processing.
• Assist with user access management and operational support tasks.
• Participate in audit support, testing, and security remediation activities.
• Maintain documentation including runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Provide clear handoffs across teams and support special project assignments.

Pay Range: $35hr - $40hr, * Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or ETL support roles., * Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.

• Basic proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with batch processing and data quality checks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage incidents and follow operational processes.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Should Have:

• Exposure to modern data platforms and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and production support processes.
• Understanding of data governance concepts.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
