Job description
We are hiring 4 Senior Application Developers to join the Market Risk Technology organization, supporting a large, globally distributed platform responsible for strategic risk and P&L calculations. This team builds and enhances next generation Market Risk applications that ingest massive volumes of market and reference data, calculate risk sensitivities, and expose that data through APIs and user facing applications. The Market Risk platform supports critical regulatory and business initiatives, including the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) under Basel III, SFRC risk calculation engines, and strategic Risk and P&L reporting. The platform also underpins large regulatory programs with hard delivery deadlines later this year. It is used globally by Market Risk stakeholders, including Business Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Risk teams. The role is development heavy, highly hands on, and requires strong problem solving skills to navigate a complex, interconnected ecosystem., * Design, build, and enhance Quartz based applications supporting Market Risk initiatives
- Develop Python based backend services ( 70% of the role) for data ingestion, processing, and analytics
- Work across the full end to end (E2E) application lifecycle
- Build and maintain APIs to expose risk and P&L data for downstream use cases
- Partner with Business Analysts during UAT and support regulatory testing efforts
- Collaborate with Production Support during release cycles
- Work within established release and governance procedures
- Troubleshoot and navigate a highly complex, multi application environment
Requirements
Must Haves:
- 7-10+ years of Application development within an enterprise distributed system
- Hands on Quartz platform experience
- Strong Python development experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Relational database concepts: IBM DB2 (preferred), Sybase, Oracle, or equivalent
- UNIX/Linux development and shell scripting
- Some exposure to Java within enterprise UI frameworks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
- UI / Front End Experience with React JS
- Experience supporting large regulatory programs
