The Team:
The Information Architecture team is at the forefront of S&P Global's data transformation journey, driving enterprise-wide initiatives that shape how our organization leverages data as a strategic asset. We are a collaborative, innovation-focused team that values strategic thinking, technical excellence, and the ability to translate complex architectural concepts into business value that impacts millions of users worldwide., * Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide information architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps across all divisions
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable data governance frameworks, establishing standards and best practices for data management across the organization
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize architectural initiatives that enhance data accessibility, quality, and business intelligence capabilities
- Oversee the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies and platforms, positioning S&P Global at the forefront of data architecture innovation
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of information architects and data specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Establish and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and industry thought leaders, ensuring access to cutting-edge solutions and market insights
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $265,00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12+ years of progressive experience in information architecture, data management, or enterprise technology leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading large-scale data architecture initiatives in complex, multi-divisional organizations
- Deep expertise in data modeling, database technologies (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL), and modern data platforms including cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing technical teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive audiences, * Experience in financial services, media, or data-intensive industries with regulatory compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar distributed computing frameworks
- Knowledge of data governance tools and frameworks (such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation) and experience implementing enterprise data governance programs
- Industry certifications in cloud platforms, data management, or enterprise architecture (such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or DAMA-DMBOK)
