Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer - TS/SCI for a mission-driven organization operating within the national security and advanced technology industry in the Raleigh Durham, NC area. The Sr. DevOps Engineer - TS/SCI role is a hybrid role supporting secure environments and complex systems. The Sr. DevOps Engineer - TS/SCI will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure while contributing hands-on to full stack application development across classified programs. An ideal candidate brings a strong DevOps foundation combined with full stack development expertise and experience working in cleared environments., * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support secure application development and deployment.

Build and manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Develop and maintain full stack applications using modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in high-security environments.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, and system architects to ensure reliable and compliant deployments.
Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
Implement DevSecOps best practices, integrating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
Automate operational tasks and improve system scalability, resiliency, and efficiency.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
7+ years of experience in full stack engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
Strong full stack development experience with technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in secure or regulated environments.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security best practices.
