Job description
The Configuration Manager Analyst II supports the Navy by managing configuration control processes, system baselines, and change management activities for IT, cybersecurity, and engineering systems in distributed environments., * Manage configuration management (CM) processes for IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity assets.
- Maintain and control system baselines and configuration items (CIs).
- Support and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and formal change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and program configuration management standards (e.g., EIA-649).
- Track, document, and audit system changes, versions, and releases.
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to validate configurations.
- Support audits, inspections, and reporting activities.
Requirements
Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in configuration management, IT, or related field.
- Experience with configuration management principles, tools, or documentation processes.
- Familiarity with CM tools (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow, CMDBs, or version control systems).
Desired:
- Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs.
- Familiarity with EIA-649, ITIL, or similar configuration management frameworks.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or system baselines.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
