Job description

The Chief Information Office (CIO) is responsible for planning, maintaining, and sustaining the global CIO enterprise that supports critical national security missions. SITE III supports warfighters, policymakers, and acquisition leaders across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) by delivering a decisive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) advantage. Our teams provide strategic, technical, and program management expertise to modernize enterprise infrastructure, systems, and applications-ensuring they are secure, resilient, and mission-ready.

If you're interested in solving complex problems, working at scale, and helping modernize mission-critical systems, SITE III offers the opportunity to make a real difference., We are seeking a hands-on Network Security Engineer to support enterprise Endace packet capture, network monitoring, and security tool integration efforts.

This role focuses on deploying and supporting Endace packet capture platforms, integrating with security ecosystems, and ensuring high-performance visibility across mission-critical networks.

You will work closely with security operations, infrastructure, and architecture teams to enhance network visibility, support Zero Trust initiatives, and strengthen defensive capabilities., * Deploy, configure, and support enterprise packet capture solutions

  • Support network traffic analysis and PCAP workflows
  • Integrate packet capture systems with SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, and investigation platforms
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and performance issues across network security infrastructure
  • Assist with high-availability and scalable deployments across data centers
  • Support automation and workflow optimization efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve network visibility and security posture

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to obtain a polygraph
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND)
  • 3+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity engineering, or network monitoring
  • Experience with Endace packet capture platforms.
  • Experience with network traffic analysis, packet capture, or monitoring using Endace as a tool
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Experience supporting secure or regulated environments (DoD, IC, federal, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of deep packet inspection and network forensic workflows
  • Experience integrating network monitoring solutions with SIEM or SOAR platforms
  • Basic scripting experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture concepts
  • Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, or related credentials, * Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience

Equivalent experience will be considered.
