Software Engineer (Radar Systems)

TactWare is seeking a Software Engineer to support high-impact defense programs focused on Aegis, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), and advanced air defense radar systems. This role emphasizes development of high-performance software supporting mission-critical capabilities.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting multiple radar programs, contributing to both new development efforts and ongoing system integration and modernization., * Design, develop, and maintain C++ software for radar and defense systems

• Support integration with real-time and distributed systems
• Contribute to performance optimization, including GPU acceleration where applicable
• Collaborate across software, systems, and test teams

• U.S. Citizenship (REQUIRED)

• Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one o Permanent residents and green card holders are not eligible

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline
• 1-10 years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in C++

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in software engineering on DoD programs
• Modern C++ (or comparable OOP) development of real time, multi-processor radar software, including GPU (CUDA) acceleration, code optimization, and automated testing
• Agile development practices with Git/GitLab version control, Linux environments, and rigorous technical documentation
• Strong analytical/math foundation complemented by MATLAB/Python prototyping and data analysis capabilities
