Job description
Scientist Engagement & Program Delivery
- Work closely with IT/Digital teams for design, development, and deployment of front-end data analysis solutions for BioTDR scientists.
- Gather requirements and translate scientific needs into prioritized solution briefs for IT/Digital partners.
- Define roadmaps, measurable deliverables, report progress to leadership.
- Represent the team in cross-functional forums, vendor engagements, and BioTDR adoption efforts.
AI, Prototyping & Solution Validation
- Identify and scope opportunities to embed LLM and agentic AI capabilities into scientific workflows.
- Build lightweight proof-of-concepts and run structured pilots with scientist end users before full build commitment.
Platform Strategy, Adoption & Improvement
- Contribute to build-vs-buy assessments, vendor evaluations, and technology roadmap planning.
- Design and implement user adoption programs including onboarding, training, and feedback loops.
- Drive improvement cycles using usage analytics and user feedback.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD, in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- B.S (with 10+years), M.S(with 5+ years) or PhD (with 2+ years) in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D.
- At least one year experience at the interface of scientific research and digital/IT delivery, * Proven experience in biologics domain (antibody engineering, SAR analysis, assay data interpretation) with a scientist-centric approach for designing intuitive, accessible tools.
- Fluent communicator across scientific, engineering, and business functions; proven ability to translate scientist needs into actionable briefs for IT/Digital teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through matrix structures with end-to-end program ownership.
- Familiarity with scientific informatics platforms such as (LiveDesign, ENPICOM, D360, Genedata, Benchling, Dotmatics, or equivalent LIMS/ELN).
- Working fluency in LLM and agentic AI frameworks (Claude API, MCP, LangChain) with the ability to distinguish scientific value from hype.
- Track record defining KPI frameworks and implementing user adoption programs in a regulated R&D environment.
- Business acumen to connect digital investment to scientific outcomes and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
Benefits & conditions
Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$138,000 - $202,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
