Job description
The Engineer II (IA IT) p rovides computer security support for the task order for US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center; Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate ., * Sustain and upgrade Information Systems within the supporting labs and projects.
- Provide expertise in the IT and IA/Cyber fields to support the Government in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, administration, and sustainment of all networks and standalone computer systems.
- Document modification or alteration of the certification and accreditation of the lab space.
- Make recommendations for future upgrades to computer systems to maintain adequate lab facilities required to execute the mission at hand.
- Assist in the detailed selection and purchase of software, tools, laboratory, and computer equipment.
- Plan and implement lifecycle upgrades as approved by the Government.
- Coordinate and support equipment installation, commissioning, training, and supporting operation.
- Perform hardware installation of end-user devices, including computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware.
- Implement and validate that appropriate patches are implemented on servers for the operating system and database software.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive list of software, including software name, number of licenses, license information, end user license agreements (EULAs), cost, and renewal dates.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive list of IT hardware, including servers, computers, testing/lab equipment, monitors, KVM switches, TVs, projectors, tablets, etc. The list should include operating system, barcode, location, network/classification, accreditation information, purchase date, end of life date.
- Maintain lab network hardware and software to high availability and maintain knowledge to coordinate availability and completion of business/enterprise network licenses, tickets, outages, statuses, etc.
- Support maintenance of network accreditations, including network diagrams, hardware/software, and POAMs as necessary.
- Provide technology support as required, including advising and implementation of technology to facilitate the secure storage and sharing of information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience or AA/AS with seven years of relevant experience
- Registered IAT Level II baseline certification: either CCNA Security, CySA+**, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, and SSCP (preferred Security+ CE certificate)
- TS/SCI Clearance
