Job description
TISTA is seeking an experienced and strategic Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level data and application platforms. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end technical vision, from pre-sales to successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data intelligence platforms, multi-cloud infrastructure, and modern application architecture, with a proven ability to unify disparate systems into a cohesive and governed enterprise backbone., * Serve as the lead technical authority for large-scale programs, owning the technical vision from proposal through delivery, including integration design, cloud platform engineering, and migration roadmaps.
- Lead the technical strategy for data platforms, implementing Lakehouse, medallion architecture, and data mesh governance principles.
- Design and build reusable libraries, frameworks, and standardized modules for organization-wide use, following Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Cloud First mandates, Smart Cloud and security frameworks (FISMA/RMF).
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and present technical demonstrations to clients and stakeholders. Build and present technical POCs and live demos for government evaluators during oral presentations.
- Design hub-and-spoke integration platforms and DevSecOps hosting strategies to unify disparate systems.
- Create design documents, and architecture diagrams, and contribute to technical IP by creating white papers and standards documentation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Operationalizing AI/ML: Lead the integration of Generative AI, agentic AI, and predictive analytics into solution architectures to drive mission innovation., * Proposals win by offering "AI-ready" data ecosystems that are trustworthy by default and usable by design.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience in integration Patterns & Methods- Mastery of integration methods such as application, data, and business process integration is fundamental. Architects must be proficient in applying patterns like: Event-Driven Architecture: Critical for real-time data exchange between SaaS apps. API-Led Enterprise Integration: Managing APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) to expose and consume data securely. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Essential for data integration across multiple sources into a centralized environment.

Extensive hands-on experience in Data Platform & Architecture, including Distributed Systems, Data Lakehouse & Delta Lake, ETL/ELT, and streaming pipelines.

Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and various service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). This includes understanding SaaS-specific isolation strategies like single-tenant vs. multi-tenant models.

Strong proficiency with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CDK.

Expertise in containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, and GoLang, along with expertise in PySpark and SQL.

Experience designing and building REST/RPC APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, including stakeholder management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Business Process Analysis: For COTS and SaaS projects, architects must understand current business flows to identify where software constraints may require adjusting the business process rather than customizing the software.

Risk & Constraint Management: Evaluating project constraints to find alternatives, mitigate risks, and perform necessary process re-engineering.

Technical Vision & Evaluation: The ability to evaluate the existing IT environment and propose detailed "building blocks" that serve as a bridge between enterprise-wide goals and technical implementation., * Experience in the healthcare or supply chain domains.

Familiarity with federal security and privacy standards such as FedRAMP and HIPAA.

Professional solution architect certifications.

Experience working with Agile and SAFe program delivery methodologies., * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, equivalent, or higher PLUS 10 Years of experience.

Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Clearance Requirement:
- Ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation.

- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
