Job description

  • Ensure product quality and compliance by interpreting manufacturing and engineering requirements and developing, executing, and refining analytical testing methods and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and QA protocols, ensuring alignment with GMP, GLP, and GDP standards for ESL and aseptic processing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, production, and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Administer and continuously improve the Quality Control program, ensuring products meet established food safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
  • Monitor and achieve internal quality KPIs, maintaining accurate, audit-ready records of inspections, testing results, and compliance activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to GMP standards across production and support areas, proactively identifying and addressing compliance gaps.
  • Oversee sanitation and housekeeping standards within manufacturing and laboratory environments to maintain a clean, organized, and audit-compliant facility.
  • Drive consistency in quality systems by enforcing established standards, policies, and best practices across all plant operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in and facilitating changes to processes, systems, and quality programs.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of plant personnel on quality procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams regarding quality performance, deviations, and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Safeguard company assets, including laboratory equipment and PPE, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and accountability.
  • Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and cleanliness in all assigned areas.
  • Participate in required company training programs and stay current with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality assurance objectives and overall plant operations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain Better Process Control School Certification.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to taste all foods with no aversions or allergies.
  • Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued shirt, hat, safety glasses, earplugs and hairnet in production areas.
  • Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment
  • Able to perform root cause analysis.
  • Able to communicate and work well with people on all levels of the organization.
  • Able to receive, analyze and report out information efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) - ability to follow laboratory SOPs.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) - ability to keep proper records.
  • Strong computer literacy - MS applications, databases.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze large amounts of data and determine deficiencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 1-2 years - Experience in food or manufacturing preferred.

Benefits & conditions

This position is classified as Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime) and salary range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hour.
