Job description

Gridiron IT is growing Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for an SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant supporting the modernization and transformation of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success., We are seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of maintenance processes within the SAP ecosystem. The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate maintenance and asset management requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring efficient plant operations, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. The role involves configuring and supporting SAP PM functionality, participating in full lifecycle implementations, and integrating maintenance processes with other SAP modules. Selected candidate(s) will:

  • Analyze business requirements related to maintenance operations and asset management.
  • Configure and support SAP PM modules including: Technical Objects (Equipment, Functional Locations), Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Orders, Notifications, and Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
  • Lead workshops and requirement gathering sessions with business users.
  • Translate business processes into functional specifications and system configuration.
  • Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Configure SAP PM based on best practices and organizational requirements.
  • Support integration with other modules, including: Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Finance (FI) and Asset Accounting
  • Assist with data migration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop functional specifications for enhancements and reports.
  • Execute and support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide post-go-live support and resolve production issues.
  • Troubleshoot SAP PM configuration and process issues.
  • Create and maintain functional design documents, configuration documentation, business process documentation.
  • Train end users and business stakeholders on SAP PM processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and 12 years of experience or 16 years of work experience

Required:

  • 5+ years of SAP PM Consulting experience
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a NASA Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management processes.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC implementations.
  • Proven Experience configuring:
  • Equipment and Functional Locations
  • Maintenance Plans
  • Task Lists
  • Work Orders
  • Notifications
  • Experience with SAP integration points with MM, PP, and FI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired:

  • SAP Certification
  • SAFe experience and/or certification
  • Experience with S/4HANA Asset Management.
  • SAP certification in Plant Maintenance or S/4HANA Asset Management.
  • Public Sector experience

Salary Range 00 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
