Job description

  • Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures supporting EMS platforms.
  • Ensure high availability and low-latency communication for real-time grid operations and control systems.
  • Develop and implement network segmentation strategies between IT and OT environments.
  • Support EMS applications including SCADA, telemetry systems, and control center operations.
  • Configure and manage routing, switching, firewalls, and secure communication protocols.
  • Implement cybersecurity controls aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Collaborate with EMS vendors, system operators and engineering teams for seamless integration.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in network architecture, preferably in utility or energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of EMS and related systems (SCADA, DMS, grid control platforms).
  • Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial control systems (ICS).
