Job description
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures supporting EMS platforms.
- Ensure high availability and low-latency communication for real-time grid operations and control systems.
- Develop and implement network segmentation strategies between IT and OT environments.
- Support EMS applications including SCADA, telemetry systems, and control center operations.
- Configure and manage routing, switching, firewalls, and secure communication protocols.
- Implement cybersecurity controls aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Collaborate with EMS vendors, system operators and engineering teams for seamless integration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and security policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network architecture, preferably in utility or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of EMS and related systems (SCADA, DMS, grid control platforms).
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial control systems (ICS).
