Network Security Engineer

We are hiring a hands-on Network Security Engineer with strong Palo Alto firewall experience to support a large enterprise environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys owning firewall operations, troubleshooting real production issues, and working closely with security and network teams. This is a contract role and requires on-site work initially. Candidates must be comfortable supporting on-call and after-hours production incidents., * Configure and troubleshoot firewall rules, NAT, policies, and threat prevention

• Support site-to-site and remote VPNs
• Monitor logs, alerts, and security events using Panorama, FMC, or SIEM tools
• Investigate and respond to security and network incidents
• Troubleshoot network and application connectivity issues (L2/L3)
• Provide real-time support for production environments (on-call required)
• Work across data center, cloud, and remote access environments

• 3 7 years of network and security engineering experience preferred, * Candidates must have real, hands-on Palo Alto experience
• Helpdesk or junior-only profiles will not be a fit, * Strong hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience (not theoretical)
• Experience with firewall rule creation, NAT, policies, and IDS/IPS tuning
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing BGP/OSPF)
• Strong troubleshooting skills (packet captures, firewall/app issues)
• Experience in enterprise, NOC, or SOC environments
• Ability to work independently without constant escalation
• Willingness to work on-site initially and support after-hours/on-call

Nice to Have

• Cisco firewall experience (ASA, Firepower, FMC)
• Security certifications: PCNSE, CCNP Security, Security+
• SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
• Basic automation skills (Python, Ansible)
• Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
