Job description
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team at PitchBook. The role focuses on building and scaling a robust Data Platform that powers data extraction, validation, classification, and AI-driven preprocessing.
You will work on end-to-end feature development - from backend data processing and AI integrations to intuitive UI components that enable researchers and stakeholders to interact with complex data workflows.
Team setup:
1 Lead + 2 BE + 1 SDET

Python 3.12, Angular 18, Typescript 5
Work Environment:
You will join a dynamic, distributed engineering team operating under a strong "One-Team Mentality".
The team follows a Stream-Aligned Team model and works within the Scrum framework, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, including 3rd-party partners.
Key stakeholders include:
- Marketing and Lead Generation teams
- Editorial and Research teams
The platform supports diverse business needs by enabling structured, high-quality data for analytics, reports, and business insights.
As a qualified expert You will
- Take full end-to-end ownership of Data Platform features - from backend logic to UI implementation
- Develop full-stack functionality, ensuring seamless integration between data processing layers and user interfaces
- Engineer and optimize data scrapers, validators, and classifiers to ensure accuracy and performance
- Integrate AI and LLM solutions (e.g., GPT-4) into platform features to solve real-world data problems
- Collaborate cross-functionally, serving as the technical expert for your functional area and ensuring backend sophistication is properly reflected in the UI
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development, primarily with Python
- Strong knowledge of System Design and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience building RESTful APIs, particularly with FastAPI
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript 5, and Angular 18
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
