Job description

We are actively seeking a Systems Support Engineer for a remote position near Alpharetta, GA. This role provides operational, software, electrical, and mechanical support for robotic systems., * Provide remote and onsite support for software, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting of automated systems

  • Analyze, debug, commission, and support automation software systems based on customer requirements
  • Perform root cause analysis for software issues, production issues, and recurring system problems
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to identify and support equipment issues
  • Develop, test, and deploy after-sales software features and assist with current and upcoming projects
  • Manage support tickets and maintain knowledge base documentation for customer issues and resolutions
  • Support smaller customer upgrade projects, including scheduling, communication, and deployment coordination
  • Provide onsite and remote customer training on purchased software systems
  • Identify and communicate revenue-generating service opportunities to management
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and internal process standards
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation support and escalation management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in a relevant technical field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in automation, controls, software support, or industrial systems
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems such as Allen-Bradley and similar platforms
  • Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft Transact SQL, .NET Framework, Visual Basic, Java, OpenEdge ABL/Progress, or related programming environments
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills and understanding of industrial system integration with servo motors, electrical systems, and software platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently with minimal guidance and work in a fast-paced customer support environment
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, IT diagrams, and layouts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train customers through onsite and remote support
  • Ability to work in an on-call rotation and travel as needed, including occasional international travel
  • Valid passport required; French language skills are a plus, * Bachelor's (Required), * Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (Required)
