Job description

Collaborates in the design of computing delivery systems, standards and change management processes. Diagnoses and resolves complex problem and leads root cause analysis for delivery systems. Leads the administration of user system access and oversees initiatives to protect information to meet security requirements. Collaborates to define companywide tools and processes to monitor system performance for capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning. Mentors, leads and trains others.

We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio areas which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.

Position Responsibilities: o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks such as applying updates, patches, and security fixes. o Assist network engineers with configuring and managing network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory to facilitate communication and resource sharing within the network. o Assist with implementing and managing backup strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities in case of system failures or data loss. o Assist with implementing and maintaining security measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls, to protect the system from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. o Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve overall system efficiency and responsiveness. o Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, as well as generate reports on system performance, security, and compliance. o Participate in planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring compatibility and adherence to best practices. o Maintain expertise in latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices through continuing training, certifications, review of trade publications. o Perform infrastructure administration and automation, information security support and configurations, software and OS installation and updates, and follow configuration and change control processes. o Create new solutions to hard technical problems and provide system support using best practices with modern and innovative tooling. o Support design, validation and configuration management of computing systems, and monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning.

This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP), for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Requirements

o 5+ years of related work experience for level 4. o 10+ years of related work experience for level 5. o System Administration experience in Linux/Unix or Windows platforms

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): o Expertise in on-premises virtualization (AHV, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, ...) or cloud expertise (AWS or Azure). o Experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), monitoring infrastructure, and securing infrastructure. o Experience with documenting technical details in Confluence and task tracking in Jira. o Strong knowledge of security best practices. o Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and incident response. o Cloud, INFOSEC, or other recent IT certifications.

Typical Education & Experience: Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.). Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
