Job description

The Squires Group is seeking an accomplished Director of Information Technology to lead enterprise wide technology strategy and operations within a government focused environment. This senior level role is responsible for overseeing all business technology functions while ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives and federal security requirements., * Lead enterprise IT strategy and operations across infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and compliance

  • Manage cross-functional IT teams and vendor partners
  • Drive organization-wide technology upgrades, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Partner with business and executive leadership to deliver scalable, mission-aligned technology solutions
  • Oversee risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and cost optimization efforts
  • Ensure operational resilience through disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Support user enablement through training and adoption of new technologies

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in information technology roles

  • 5+ years of IT management and leadership experience

  • Proven experience leading diverse IT teams and cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security frameworks, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and ServiceNow

  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal compliance and security standards, including CMMC 2.0, Risk Management Framework (RMF), ITAR, and classified environments

  • Ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes

  • Experience managing large-scale technology projects

  • Strong background in budget ownership and vendor management

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field Preferred Experience:

  • Background in a government contracting corporate IT environment (internal enterprise IT), rather than contract only or customer site IT support.
