This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work with the latest digital video and animation technology. Quality Engineers are passionate about testing features, writing clear and concise bug reports, crafting test cases, verifying bug fixes, communicating effectively with developers, other quality engineers, and customers. As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to strictly uphold our high standards, ensuring our products meet and exceed user expectations.
What you'll do
- Advocate for customers and recommend features and fixes that improve their workflow.
- Work with customers to better understand user workflows and reproduce their bugs.
- Write clear documentation for projects and features for which you are responsible.
- Implement test cases, ad hoc testing, and performance testing on new and existing features.
- Perform interoperability testing between After Effects and other Adobe applications.
- Collaborate with development and user experience team members to build test cases for new features.
- Identify and use existing tools and test materials from other Adobe QE teams.
- Isolate bugs, write detailed bug reports, and verify and regress bugs.
Requirements
- 5+yrs experience using Adobe After Effects (familiarity with other animation, video editing, and digital audio programs is an advantage).
- Experience using ExtendScript/JavaScript/typescript to build scripts.
- Proven track record in testing commercially released applications.
- Must meet deadlines and demonstrate outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills are critical.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of Agile development processes and scrum.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac platforms.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- A college degree in film or a related area is advantageous.

Benefits & conditions
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,400 -- $221,750 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In Washington, the pay range for this position is $142,500 - $206,275
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
