Job description
Kforce has a client in Tysons, VA that is seeking an Enterprise Data Steward., The primary purpose of this role is to drive adoption of Enterprise Data Governance procedures by working closely with Business Data Stewards. This position serves as a central hub for the organization, connecting with various business units., * Building a normalized and useful Enterprise Business Glossary
- Developing common business data taxonomy
- Guiding data stewards in creating data quality monitoring projects
- Tracking and coordinating resolution of enterprise-level data quality issues
- Managing the critical data asset and elements repository in alignment with industry-standard finance data models
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Business Management required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data governance and management
- At least 5 years of experience in data stewardship, preferably within a banking or financial institution
- Experience writing and maintaining data governance processes, standards, and best practices
- Proven success working with internal stakeholders to run a data governance program
- Extensive experience with Data Governance and Management solutions, preferably Ataccama
- Technical background to collaborate effectively with Data Platform and Data Engineering teams to enhance and mature the Data Governance toolkit
- Strong knowledge of data management concepts including metadata, data quality, data lineage, data archival, data retention, data sharing, and sensitive data handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly to all management levels
- Experience creating processes, procedures, and job aids for enterprise rollout
- Familiarity with risk and control frameworks
- Experience working with internal and external auditors
- Knowledge of Reference/Master Data management efforts is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
