Job description
As an Integration Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting integration solutions between Clinisys applications and customer systems. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical expertise in HL7, integration engines, and software development, alongside excellent communication and project delivery skills., Integration & Project Delivery
- Design, build, test, and validate integration workflows using HL7 and other standards.
- Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and configure solutions that support lab workflows.
- Lead customer meetings (remote/in-person) to agree designs, demonstrate functionality, and provide training.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate risks/issues to the Project Manager.
- Support transition to Service Desk post-implementation.
Support & Training
- Provide 4th line support for integration-related issues and escalations.
- Deliver training sessions for key users.
- Assist Sales and Marketing with product demonstrations.
Development & Continuous Improvement
- Develop interfaces to third-party systems.
- Contribute to product enhancements based on customer feedback.
- Stay up to date with integration technologies and healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of integration experience, ideally within healthcare or NHS environments.
- Rhapsody Associate Certification (Professional/Expert preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HL7 (v2.3-v2.5), including ADT, ORU, ORM messages.
- Experience with integration interfaces: ADT/PAS, Order Comms, Results.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable
- Experience with FHIR and API-based integrations.
- Knowledge of WinPath and UK/NHS lab workflows.
- Technical skills in JavaScript, Java, .NET.
- Experience with tools such as NetSuite and MS Excel.
