Job description

Oversight of maintenance operations and infrastructure performance across multiple critical sites, including large-scale data centers. This role ensures optimal functionality, compliance, and reliability of electrical, mechanical, and physical infrastructure for data centers. The ideal candidate is a licensed Master Electrician with proven leadership experience and technical knowledge in managing mission-critical facilities., * Oversee the electrical infrastructure of the organization's buildings and data centers, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and national codes.

  • Lead and supervise the team in day-to-day building and data center operations, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility upkeep.
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for high-voltage systems, emergency power systems (UPS, generators), and switchgear operations.
  • Manage and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance programs across all facilities, with a focus on uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to support the unique needs of critical data center environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, MOPs, and safety procedures related to facility maintenance and electrical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and internal policies, including NFPA, OSHA, NEC, and local building codes.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to applicable CIP standards
  • Participate in capital project planning, vendor management, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Respond to and lead the resolution of emergency maintenance situations and after-hours incidents.
  • Track and report performance metrics, maintenance logs, and infrastructure reliability indicators.
  • Maintains and reviews vendor designs, blueprints, plans and proposals to ensure compliance with agreed upon specifications
  • Manage the budget for maintaining, upgrading, or replacing buildings and infrastructure across multiple sites.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff members in other departments.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Crisis management and rapid decision-making capabilities under pressure
  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills, * Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Valid Master Electrician license (State of Texas)
  • Extensive hands-on experience in large-scale data center or mission-critical environments
  • Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including power redundancy, load balancing, and failure modes
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Familiarity with environmental control systems (HVAC/BAS), fire life safety systems, and building automation technologies
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS), dcTrack or similar infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or trade certifications (e.g., NICET, LEED)

CERTIFICATION

  • Valid Texas Driver's License (Required)
