Job description

In data engineering at PwC, you will focus on designing and building data infrastructure and systems to enable efficient data processing and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions.

As part of the Data and Analytics Engineering team you lead the design and implementation of thorough data architecture strategies. As a Director, you drive thought leadership, promote technological advances, and create an environment where people and technology thrive together. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions and safeguarding data architecture compliance with governance and security policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required.
  • 10 years of experience, * Certification in Cloud Platforms [e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Data Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Data Engineer Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Snowflake Core, Snowflake Databricks Data Engineer Associate] is a plus
  • Proficient in Python and structured/unstructured data
  • Proficient in SQL and relational databases
  • Writing and maintaining FastAPI endpoints for applications
  • Understanding AI techniques enhancing LLMs
  • Experience in prompt engineering for LLM outputs
  • Developing scalable data storage solutions using cloud services
  • Designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes
  • Implementing IAM roles and policies for cloud platforms

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
