Job description

job summary: Expertise in relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL), distributed SQL (CockroachDB, YugabyteDB), NoSQL (Aerospike), in-memory databases, data warehouses (Snowflake, Apache Iceberg) and Kafka streaming.

Proven ability to architect high-volume, high-performance transactional systems.

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, EC2, EMR, S3) and hybrid environments.

Experience building scalable data solutions (OLTP, ODS, MDM, data warehousing & analytics platforms).

Experience with data Security and data and functional authorization methods

Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging cloud data technologies.

Hands-on experience in logical and physical data modeling

Strategic thinker with strong technical leadership and agile delivery experience.

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

responsibilities:

  • Define and promote data architecture strategies, patterns, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership across complex projects and initiatives.
  • Guide the adoption of cloud-native data solutions and data integration patterns.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and reusable patterns, standards and guidelines.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Support mainframe migration and modernization efforts.

qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

12+ years of experience in distributed systems, including 3+ years with cloud databases.

Experience in financial services domain. Understanding / Experience with the brokerage domain would be a plus.
