Job description
Join a dynamic engineering team supporting secure, resilient, and mission-ready network infrastructures. As a mid-level network engineer, you will design, analyze, and optimize network architectures across varied operational environments. You will support system modernization, network performance assessments, technology integration activities, and configuration baselines that enhance system reliability and cybersecurity posture.
You will generate engineering documentation, technical assessments, and decision-support materials aligned with Booz Allen standards. All work will remain advisory and compliant with federal regulations regarding inherently governmental boundaries.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing, configuring, or supporting enterprise or mission-focused networks
- Experience with routing or switching technologies, such as Cisco or Juniper, firewalls, VPNs, and network management tools
- Experience with producing technical documentation aligned with formatting and risk-mitigation guidance
- Knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, or QoS
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with zero-trust architectures, cloud networking, or software-defined networking (SDN)
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and network hardening best practices
- Experience supporting DoD or federal networks
- Possession of strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Network+, or similar Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
