Job description
Project/Cognizant engineer for high-level complexity electronic systems. An emphasis on motor controls or Radar systems is preferred. Ensures that systems delivered meet customer specifications and performs as necessary for the intended application. Acts as the customer interface for technical discussions, design reviews, and acceptance testing. Provides technical support in product demonstrations, system installation, and maintenance of company products. Works closely with Program Management and Business Development to support engineering program proposals/bids which include technical writings and estimates of cost and schedule. Performs design reviews and drawing checks for other colleagues and engineers as needed., * Resolves complex issues on critical programs related to architectural approaches, requirements, specifications, and design. Leads technical aspect of proposal preparation.
- Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
- Develops new concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Creates briefing material for higher level management and customer meetings and reviews.
- Typical assignments require limited supervision with some latitude for unmonitored action. Performs assignments which involve responsibility for a major project.
- May supervise lower-level engineers while providing guidance or assistance and may act in a lead capacity.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) would be preferred.
- 10+ years related experience and/or training is required. Master's in electronic engineering considered a plus.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Requires five+ years of experience with design and fabrication of a broad range of electrical systems.
- Experience and training in the Military/Aerospace Industry required.
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills. Should be capable of making presentations to customers.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standard a plus.
- Should have hands-on experience with mixed signal analog and digital designs, general electronics, and high-level analysis tools such as MATLAB and Ansys.
- Professional and/or technical certifications from accredited educational and vocational institutions desired.
- Must be computer literate with ability to create/update spreadsheets & word processing documents (Word, Excel).
- Schematic capture: OrCAD, Altium, or similar.
- Analysis: MATLAB, HFSS, SPICE, or similar.
- Knowledge of RF and digital/analog analysis software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic and others is a plus.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN: U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship).

- Pay Range: $120500 to $210950 annually
